In this tutorial we learn how to install gridsite on CentOS 7.

What is gridsite

GridSite was originally a web application developed for managing and formatting the content of the http website. Over the past years it has grown into a set of extensions to the Apache web server and a toolkit for Grid credentials, GACL access control lists and HTTP(S) protocol operations. This package gridsite contains apache httpd modules for enabling mod_gridsite.

We can use yum or dnf to install gridsite on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gridsite.

Install gridsite on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install gridsite using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install gridsite

Install gridsite on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install gridsite using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install gridsite

How To Uninstall gridsite on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the gridsite package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove gridsite
