How To Install grepmail on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install grepmail on Kali Linux.
What is grepmail
grepmail is:
Grepmail looks for mail messages containing a pattern, and prints the resulting messages. Usage is very similar to grep. It can handle compressed mailbox files, and can search the header or body of emails. It also supports searches constrained by date and size.
There are three methods to install grepmail on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install grepmail Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install grepmail using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install grepmailInstall grepmail Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install grepmail using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the grepmail package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove grepmailRemove grepmail Configurations and Data
To remove grepmail configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
