How To Install gqrx-sdr on Ubuntu 22.04

What is gqrx-sdr
gqrx-sdr is:
Gqrx works with hardware supported by gr-osmosdr, including Funcube Dongle, RTL-SDR, Airspy, HackRF, BladeRF, RFSpace, USRP and SoapySDR.
Gqrx can operate as an AM/FM/SSB receiver with audio output or as an FFT-only instrument. The built-in Gqrx AFSK1200 decoder can decode and display AX.25 packets. There are also various hooks for interacting with external applications using network sockets.
Wideband FM mode has mono, stereo, and RDS (Radio Data System) modes. Displays FFT plot and spectrum waterfall.
It is powered by GNU Radio and the Qt GUI toolkit.
There are three methods to install gqrx-sdr on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install gqrx-sdr Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gqrx-sdr using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gqrx-sdr
How To Uninstall gqrx-sdr on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the gqrx-sdr package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gqrx-sdr
Uninstall gqrx-sdr And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gqrx-sdr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gqrx-sdr
Remove gqrx-sdr Configurations and Data
To remove gqrx-sdr configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gqrx-sdr
Remove gqrx-sdr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gqrx-sdr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gqrx-sdr
