How To Install gpsmanshp on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install gpsmanshp on Kali Linux.
What is gpsmanshp
gpsmanshp is:
A Tcl package that provides the means of creating and reading files in the ESRI Shapefile for keeping 2 or 3 dimensional points and polylines.
It was developed for use in GPSMan, a manager of GPS receiver data and is based on the shapelib module. Along with this package, gpstr2shp.c was also developed which translates GPStrans data files into Shapefile ones.
There are three methods to install gpsmanshp on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gpsmanshp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gpsmanshp using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gpsmanshpInstall gpsmanshp Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gpsmanshp using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the gpsmanshp package we can use the following command:

To remove gpsmanshp configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
