What is google-droid-kufi-fonts
The Droid typeface family was designed in the fall of 2006 by Ascender’s Steve Matteson, as a commission from Google to create a set of system fonts for its Android platform. The goal was to provide optimal quality and comfort on a mobile handset when rendered in application menus, web browsers and for other screen text. The family was later extended in collaboration with other designers such as Pascal Zoghbi of 29ArabicLetters. Droid Kufi is a stylized display font suitable for titles and short runs of text, and designed to complement Droid Sans. It was initialy designed by Steve Matteson of Ascender with consulting by Pascal Zoghbi of 29ArabicLetters to finalize the font family.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install google-droid-kufi-fonts
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install google-droid-kufi-fonts.
Install google-droid-kufi-fonts on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install google-droid-kufi-fonts
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install google-droid-kufi-fonts
Install google-droid-kufi-fonts on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install google-droid-kufi-fonts
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install google-droid-kufi-fonts
How To Uninstall google-droid-kufi-fonts on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the google-droid-kufi-fonts
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove google-droid-kufi-fonts
