How To Install gnutls-doc on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install gnutls-doc on Kali Linux.

What is gnutls-doc

gnutls-doc is:

GnuTLS is a portable library which implements the Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3) and Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS 1.0, 1.2) protocols.

GnuTLS features support for:

• certificate path validation, as well as DANE and trust on first use.
• the Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP).
• public key methods, including RSA and Elliptic curves, as well as password and key authentication methods such as SRP and PSK protocols.
• all the strong encryption algorithms, including AES and Camellia.
• CPU-assisted cryptography with VIA padlock and AES-NI instruction sets.

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install gnutls-doc using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install gnutls-doc

Install gnutls-doc Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install gnutls-doc using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install gnutls-doc

How To Uninstall gnutls-doc on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the gnutls-doc package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove gnutls-doc
