What is gnuplot

Gnuplot can be used to plot functions and data points in both two and three dimensions and in many different formats. Install gnuplot if you need a graphics package for scientific data representation. This package provides a Qt based terminal version of gnuplot.
We can use yum or dnf to install gnuplot on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gnuplot.
Install gnuplot on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gnuplot using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install gnuplot
Install gnuplot on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gnuplot using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install gnuplot
How To Uninstall gnuplot on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the gnuplot package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove gnuplot
