How To Install gnunet on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gnunet on Kali Linux.
What is gnunet
gnunet is:
GNUnet is a framework for secure peer-to-peer networking that does not use any centralized or otherwise trusted services. Its high-level goal is to provide a strong free software foundation for a global network that provides security and in particular respects privacy.
GNUnet started with an idea for anonymous censorship-resistant file-sharing, but has grown to incorporate other applications as well as many generic building blocks for secure networking applications. In particular, GNUnet now includes the GNU Name System, a privacy-preserving, decentralized public key infrastructure.
There are three methods to install gnunet on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gnunet Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gnunet using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gnunetInstall gnunet Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gnunet using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gnunetInstall gnunet Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gnunet using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gnunetHow To Uninstall gnunet on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gnunet package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gnunetUninstall gnunet And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gnunet and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gnunetRemove gnunet Configurations and Data
To remove gnunet configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gnunetRemove gnunet configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gnunet configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gnunetDependencies
