How To Install gnubg on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gnubg on Kali Linux.
What is gnubg
gnubg is:
GNU Backgammon is a strong backgammon program (world-class with a bearoff database installed) usable either as an engine by other programs or as a standalone backgammon game. In addition to supporting simple play, it also has extensive analysis features, a tutor mode, adjustable difficulty, and support for exporting annotated games. It can be played either from a GTK+ graphical interface, optionally with a 3D board, or from a simple text console.
There are three methods to install gnubg on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gnubg Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gnubg using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gnubgInstall gnubg Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gnubg using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gnubg using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gnubgHow To Uninstall gnubg on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gnubg package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gnubgUninstall gnubg And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gnubg and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gnubgRemove gnubg Configurations and Data
To remove gnubg configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gnubgRemove gnubg configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
