How To Install gnokii on Ubuntu 22.04

What is gnokii
gnokii is:
Gnokii is a suite of programs that allows communication with mobile phones. It currently supports many Nokia mobile phones, all AT capable ones as well as many Symbian based. For a list of compatible phones, please visit: http://wiki.gnokii.org
This metapackage installs all the non-daemon programs.
There are three methods to install gnokii
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gnokii Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gnokii
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install gnokii

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gnokii

Install gnokii Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

How To Uninstall gnokii on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the gnokii

sudo apt-get -y autoremove gnokii
Remove gnokii Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gnokii
Remove gnokii configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
