How To Install gnokii-smsd-pgsql on Ubuntu 18.04

The SMSD (SMS daemon) handles automated sending and receiving of short messages using a storage backend. It is designed to use modules (plugins) to work with different backends, and shares Gnokii’s runtime configuration and libraries.

There are three methods to install gnokii-smsd-pgsql on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gnokii-smsd-pgsql Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gnokii-smsd-pgsql using apt-get by running the following command:

Install gnokii-smsd-pgsql Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

Remove gnokii-smsd-pgsql Configurations and Data
To remove gnokii-smsd-pgsql configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gnokii-smsd-pgsql
Remove gnokii-smsd-pgsql configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gnokii-smsd-pgsql configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gnokii-smsd-pgsql
