How To Install glom-utils on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install glom-utils on Kali Linux.
What is glom-utils
glom-utils is:
With Glom you can design table definitions and the relationships between them, plus arrange the fields on the screen. You can edit and search the data in those tables, and specify field values in terms of other fields. It’s as easy as it should be.
The design is loosely based on FileMaker Pro, with the added advantage of separation between interface and data. Its simple framework should be enough to implement most database applications. Without Glom these systems normally consist of lots of repetitive, unmaintainable code.
This package contains the command-line tools.
There are three methods to install glom-utils on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install glom-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install glom-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install glom-utilsInstall glom-utils Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install glom-utils using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install glom-utilsInstall glom-utils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install glom-utils using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install glom-utilsHow To Uninstall glom-utils on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the glom-utils package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove glom-utilsUninstall glom-utils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall glom-utils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove glom-utilsRemove glom-utils Configurations and Data
To remove glom-utils configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge glom-utilsRemove glom-utils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove glom-utils configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge glom-utilsDependencies
