What is glite-lb-state-machine

glite-lb-state-machine is the gLite L&B job state machine – server core processing L&B events to produce job state presented to the user. This package contains the state machine library (linked by server) and dynamic plugin (used by other tools and Job Provenance).

We can use yum or dnf to install glite-lb-state-machine on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install glite-lb-state-machine.

Install glite-lb-state-machine on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install glite-lb-state-machine using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install glite-lb-state-machine

Install glite-lb-state-machine on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install glite-lb-state-machine using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install glite-lb-state-machine

How To Uninstall glite-lb-state-machine on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the glite-lb-state-machine package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove glite-lb-state-machine
