What is gle

GLE (Graphics Layout Engine) is a high-quality graphics package for scientists, combining a user-friendly scripting language with a full range of facilities for producing publication-quality graphs, diagrams, posters and slides. GLE provides LaTeX quality fonts together with a flexible graphics module which allows the user to specify any feature of a graph. Complex pictures can be drawn with user-defined subroutines and simple looping structures. Current output formats include EPS, PS, PDF, JPEG, and PNG.

We can use yum or dnf to install gle on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gle.

Install gle on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install gle using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install gle

Install gle on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install gle using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install gle

How To Uninstall gle on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the gle package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove gle
