How To Install glade3 on CentOS 7

In this tutorial we learn how to install glade3 on CentOS 7.
What is glade3
Glade is a RAD tool to enable quick and easy development of user interfaces for the GTK+ toolkit and the GNOME desktop environment. The user interfaces designed in Glade are saved as XML, which can be used in numerous programming languages including C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, C#, Pike, Ruby, Haskell, Objective Caml and Scheme. Adding support for other languages is easy too. The glade3 package contains a version of Glade for GTK+ 2.x. For GTK+ 3.x support, use the glade package instead.
We can use yum or dnf to install glade3 on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install glade3.
Install glade3 on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install glade3 using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install glade3
Install glade3 on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install glade3 using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install glade3
How To Uninstall glade3 on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the glade3 package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove glade3
