Gita is a command-line tool to manage multiple git repos:
- display the status of multiple Git repos such as branch, modification, commit message side by side
- (batch) delegate git commands/aliases from any working directory
If several repos are related, Gita helps to see their status together too.
There are three methods to install gita on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gita Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gita using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gita

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gita using apt by running the following command:

Install gita Using aptitude
