How To Install ghc-hashed-storage on CentOS 7

What is ghc-hashed-storage
Support code for reading and manipulating hashed file storage (where each file and directory is associated with a cryptographic hash, for corruption-resistant storage and fast comparisons). The supported storage formats include darcs hashed pristine, a plain filesystem tree and an indexed plain tree (where the index maintains hashes of the plain files and directories).
We can use yum or dnf to install ghc-hashed-storage on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ghc-hashed-storage.
Install ghc-hashed-storage on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install ghc-hashed-storage using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ghc-hashed-storage
Install ghc-hashed-storage on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install ghc-hashed-storage using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install ghc-hashed-storage
How To Uninstall ghc-hashed-storage on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the ghc-hashed-storage package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove ghc-hashed-storage
