How To Install gforth on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gforth on Kali Linux.
What is gforth

This is the GNU’ish implementation of a Forth programming environment.
Forth, as a language, is best known for being stack-based, and completely extensible. Each Forth environment provides one or more dictionaries of pre-defined words, and programming in Forth consists of defining and executing new words that are combinations of previously defined words. It has been said that learning Forth changes forever the way you think about writing programs.

There are three methods to install gforth on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gforth Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gforth using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gforthInstall gforth Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gforth using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gforthInstall gforth Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gforth using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gforthHow To Uninstall gforth on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gforth package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gforthUninstall gforth And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gforth and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gforthRemove gforth Configurations and Data
To remove gforth configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gforthRemove gforth configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gforth configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gforthDependencies
