on CentOS 7.
What is geos
GEOS (Geometry Engine - Open Source) is a C++ port of the Java Topology Suite (JTS). As such, it aims to contain the complete functionality of JTS in C++. This includes all the OpenGIS “Simple Features for SQL” spatial predicate functions and spatial operators, as well as specific JTS topology functions such as IsValid()
We can use yum
or dnf
to install geos
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install geos.
Install geos on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install geos
using yum
