The gEDA project has produced and continues working on a full GPL’d suite and toolkit of Electronic Design Automation tools. These tools are used for electrical circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, and production. Currently, the gEDA project offers a mature suite of free software applications for electronics design, including schematic capture, attribute management, bill of materials (BOM) generation, netlisting into over 20 netlist formats, analog and digital simulation, and printed circuit board (PCB) layout.

Install geda-gnetlist Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install geda-gnetlist using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install geda-gnetlist using apt by running the following command:

Install geda-gnetlist Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install geda-gnetlist using aptitude by running the following command:

We can use the following command to remove geda-gnetlist configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
