How To Install geda-gattrib on Debian 9

These tools are used for electrical circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, and production. Currently, the gEDA project offers a mature suite of free software applications for electronics design, including schematic capture, attribute management, bill of materials (BOM) generation, netlisting into over 20 netlist formats, analog and digital simulation, and printed circuit board (PCB) layout.
This package contains gattrib, the attribute editor.
There are three methods to install geda-gattrib on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install geda-gattrib Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install geda-gattrib using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install geda-gattrib
Install geda-gattrib Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install geda-gattrib using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install geda-gattrib
Install geda-gattrib Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install geda-gattrib using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install geda-gattrib
How To Uninstall geda-gattrib on Debian 9
To uninstall only the geda-gattrib package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove geda-gattrib
Uninstall geda-gattrib And Its Dependencies
To uninstall geda-gattrib and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove geda-gattrib
Remove geda-gattrib Configurations and Data
To remove geda-gattrib configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
