How To Install gearman-server on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gearman-server on Kali Linux.
What is gearman-server
gearman-server is:
Gearman is a system to farm out work to other machines, dispatching function calls to machines that are better suited to do work, to do work in parallel, to load balance lots of function calls, or even to call functions between languages.
This package contains both the Gearman server as well as the corresponding Perl bindings.
There are three methods to install gearman-server on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gearman-server Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gearman-server using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gearman-serverInstall gearman-server Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gearman-server using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gearman-server using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the gearman-server package we can use the following command:

To uninstall gearman-server and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gearman-serverRemove gearman-server Configurations and Data
To remove gearman-server configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gearman-serverRemove gearman-server configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
