How To Install gearhead2-sdl on Debian 11

What is gearhead2-sdl
gearhead2-sdl is:
Set a century and a half after nuclear war, you can explore a world where various factions compete to determine the future of the human race. Major features include random plot generation, a detailed character system, and over two hundred customizable mecha designs.
GearHead 2 is set five years after the events of GearHead 1. It is currently under development and is initially set in the L5 Orbital Pattern.
This is the SDL version. For the console version, use gearhead instead.
There are three methods to install gearhead2-sdl
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gearhead2-sdl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gearhead2-sdl
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gearhead2-sdl
Install gearhead2-sdl Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gearhead2-sdl
using apt
by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
