How To Install gdbm-l10n on Kali Linux

What is gdbm-l10n
gdbm-l10n is:
GNU dbm (‘gdbm’) is a library of database functions that use extendible hashing and works similarly to the standard UNIX ‘dbm’ functions.
The basic use of ‘gdbm’ is to store key/data pairs in a data file, thus providing a persistent version of the ‘dictionary’ Abstract Data Type (‘hash’ to perl programmers). This package provides translations for messages, generated by library routines and programs, provided by ‘gdbtool’ package.
There are three methods to install gdbm-l10n
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gdbm-l10n Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gdbm-l10n
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gdbm-l10n
Install gdbm-l10n Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gdbm-l10n
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gdbm-l10n
Install gdbm-l10n Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gdbm-l10n
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gdbm-l10n
How To Uninstall gdbm-l10n on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gdbm-l10n
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gdbm-l10n
Uninstall gdbm-l10n And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gdbm-l10n
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gdbm-l10n
Remove gdbm-l10n Configurations and Data
To remove gdbm-l10n
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gdbm-l10n
Remove gdbm-l10n configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gdbm-l10n
