How To Install gcc-8-offload-nvptx on Ubuntu 18.04

The package provides offloading support for NVidia PTX. OpenMP and OpenACC programs linked with -fopenmp will by default add PTX code into the binaries, which can be offloaded to NVidia PTX capable devices if available.

To remove gcc-8-offload-nvptx configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gcc-8-offload-nvptx
Remove gcc-8-offload-nvptx configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gcc-8-offload-nvptx configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gcc-8-offload-nvptx
