How To Install garagemq on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install garagemq on Kali Linux.
What is garagemq
garagemq is:
GarageMQ is a message broker that implement the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP). Compatible with any AMQP or RabbitMQ clients (tested streadway/amqp and php-amqp lib)
The GarageMQ project is also knowns an KubeMQ (https://kubemq.io).
This package does not contain the admin-frontend/build files
since debian packaging npm modules is “complicated”. You can,
after installing this package, download the files from github and
cp -a $SRCDIR/admin-frontend/build /var/lib/garagemq/admin-frontend/
to be able to use the admin frontend as intended.
There are three methods to install garagemq on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install garagemq Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install garagemq using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install garagemqInstall garagemq Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install garagemq using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install garagemqInstall garagemq Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install garagemq using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install garagemqHow To Uninstall garagemq on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the garagemq package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove garagemqUninstall garagemq And Its Dependencies
To uninstall garagemq and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove garagemqRemove garagemq Configurations and Data
To remove garagemq configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge garagemqRemove garagemq configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove garagemq configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge garagemqDependencies
