How To Install gap-polycyclic on Ubuntu 18.04

What is gap-polycyclic
gap-polycyclic is:
GAP is a system for computational discrete algebra, with particular emphasis on Computational Group Theory. GAP provides a programming language, a library of thousands of functions implementing algebraic algorithms written in the GAP language as well as large data libraries of algebraic objects. GAP is used in research and teaching for studying groups and their representations, rings, vector spaces, algebras, combinatorial structures, and more.
GAP Polycyclic is a package for computation with polycyclic groups, by Bettina Eick, Max Horn and Werner Nickel.
There are three methods to install gap-polycyclic on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gap-polycyclic Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-polycyclic using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gap-polycyclic

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-polycyclic using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gap-polycyclic
Install gap-polycyclic Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-polycyclic using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gap-polycyclic
How To Uninstall gap-polycyclic on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the gap-polycyclic package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gap-polycyclic
Uninstall gap-polycyclic And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gap-polycyclic and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gap-polycyclic
Remove gap-polycyclic Configurations and Data
To remove gap-polycyclic configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gap-polycyclic

We can use the following command to remove gap-polycyclic configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
