How To Install gap-openmath on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gap-openmath on Kali Linux.
What is gap-openmath
gap-openmath is:
GAP is a system for computational discrete algebra with particular emphasis on computational group theory, but which has already proved useful also in other areas.
This package allows GAP to import and export mathematical objects encoded in OpenMath, for the purpose of exchanging them with other applications that are OpenMath enabled.
There are three methods to install gap-openmath on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gap-openmath Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gap-openmath using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gap-openmathInstall gap-openmath Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gap-openmath using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gap-openmath using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the gap-openmath package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gap-openmathUninstall gap-openmath And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gap-openmath and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gap-openmathRemove gap-openmath Configurations and Data
To remove gap-openmath configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gap-openmathRemove gap-openmath configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gap-openmath configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gap-openmathDependencies
