In this tutorial we learn how to install gajim
on CentOS 7.
What is gajim
Gajim is a Jabber client written in PyGTK. The goal of Gajim’s developers is to provide a full featured and easy to use xmpp client for the GTK+ users. Gajim does not require GNOME to run, even though it exists with it nicely.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install gajim
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gajim.
Install gajim on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install gajim
using yum

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
