How To Install g810-led on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install g810-led on Kali Linux.
What is g810-led
g810-led is:
g810-led is a configuration tool for the LEDs on Logitech Gx10 gaming keyboards: G213, G410, G413, G512, G513, G610, G810, G815, G910, and G Pro.
The LEDs can be configured in a variety of ways, depending on the keyboards’ capabilities:
- pre-defined effects (breathing, colour-cycling, waves)
- individual key colours and/or intensities
- key group colours and/or intensities
There are three methods to install g810-led on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install g810-led Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install g810-led using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install g810-ledInstall g810-led Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install g810-led using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install g810-ledInstall g810-led Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install g810-led using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install g810-ledHow To Uninstall g810-led on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the g810-led package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove g810-ledUninstall g810-led And Its Dependencies
To uninstall g810-led and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove g810-ledRemove g810-led Configurations and Data
To remove g810-led configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge g810-ledRemove g810-led configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove g810-led configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge g810-ledDependencies
