How To Install fts-server on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install fts-server
on CentOS 7.
What is fts-server
The FTS server is a service which accepts transfer jobs, it exposes a RESTful interface. The File Transfer Service allows also for querying and canceling transfer-jobs. The authentication and authorization is VOMS based. Furthermore, the service provides a mechanism that dynamically adjust transfer parameters for optimal bandwidth utilization and allows for configuring so called VO-shares.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install fts-server
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fts-server.
Install fts-server on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install fts-server
using yum
