How To Install fossil on Debian 10

What is fossil
fossil is:
Fossil is an easy-to-use Distributed Source Control Management system (DSCM) which supports access and administration over HTTP CGI or via a built-in HTTP server, has a built-in wiki, built-in file browsing, a built-in tickets system, etc.
There are three methods to install fossil
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fossil Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fossil
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fossil

Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install fossil

by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fossil
Install fossil Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install fossil

How To Uninstall fossil on Debian 10
