What is fortunes

fortunes is:

The fortune program displays epigrams, known as fortune cookies, selected randomly from a selection of fortune files.

There are far over 15000 different cookies in this package.

You’ll need the fortune-mod package to display the cookies.

There are three methods to install fortunes on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fortunes Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install fortunes using apt-get by running the following command:
