How To Install fop on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install fop on Kali Linux.
What is fop
fop is:
FOP is a Java application that reads a formatting object tree and then turns it into a wide variety of output presentations (including AFP, PCL, PDF, PNG, PostScript, RTF, TIFF, and plain text), or displays the result on-screen.
The formatting object tree can be in the form of an XML document (output by an XSLT engine like xalan) or can be passed in memory as a DOM Document or (in the case of xalan) SAX events.
This package contains the fop command line tool
There are three methods to install fop on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fop Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fop using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fopInstall fop Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
