How To Install fonts-cardo on Ubuntu 18.04

Cardo is a large Unicode font specifically designed for the needs of classicists, biblical scholars, medievalists, and linguists. Since it may be used to prepare materials for publication, it also contains features that are required for high-quality typography, such as ligatures, text figures (also known as old style numerals), true small capitals and a variety of punctuation and space characters.
There are three methods to install fonts-cardo on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fonts-cardo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fonts-cardo using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fonts-cardo

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install fonts-cardo using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fonts-cardo
Install fonts-cardo Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install fonts-cardo using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install fonts-cardo
How To Uninstall fonts-cardo on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the fonts-cardo package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fonts-cardo
Uninstall fonts-cardo And Its Dependencies
To uninstall fonts-cardo and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fonts-cardo
Remove fonts-cardo Configurations and Data
To remove fonts-cardo configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fonts-cardo
Remove fonts-cardo configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove fonts-cardo configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
