How To Install fluxbox on Ubuntu 20.04

What is fluxbox
fluxbox is:
Fairly similar to blackbox, from which it is derived, but has been extended with features such as pwm-style window tabs, configurable key bindings, toolbar, and an iconbar. It also includes some cosmetic fixes over blackbox.
This package contains support for GNOME and KDE.
There are three methods to install fluxbox
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fluxbox
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install fluxbox

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install fluxbox
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fluxbox
Install fluxbox Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install fluxbox
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install fluxbox
How To Uninstall fluxbox on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the fluxbox
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fluxbox
Uninstall fluxbox And Its Dependencies
To uninstall fluxbox
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fluxbox
Remove fluxbox Configurations and Data
To remove fluxbox
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fluxbox
Remove fluxbox configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove fluxbox
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge fluxbox
