How To Install flpsed-data on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install flpsed-data on Debian 12.
What is flpsed-data
flpsed-data is:
flpsed is a WYSIWYG pseudo PostScript editor. “Pseudo”, because isn’t possible to remove or modify existing elements of a document. But flpsed lets anyone to add arbitrary text lines to existing PostScript 1 documents. Added lines can later be reedited with flpsed.
Using pdftops, which is part of xpdf, one can convert PDF documents to PostScript and also add text to them. flpsed is useful for filling in forms, adding notes, etc.
This package contains the common data files required by flpsed.
There are three methods to install flpsed-data on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install flpsed-data Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install flpsed-data using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install flpsed-data

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install flpsed-data using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install flpsed-data
How To Uninstall flpsed-data on Debian 12
To uninstall only the flpsed-data package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove flpsed-data
Uninstall flpsed-data And Its Dependencies
To uninstall flpsed-data and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove flpsed-data
Remove flpsed-data Configurations and Data
To remove flpsed-data configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge flpsed-data
Remove flpsed-data configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
