How To Install flactag on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install flactag on Kali Linux.
What is flactag
flactag is:
Tagger for whole-album FLAC files with embedded CUE sheets. Data for the tags is retrieved from the MusicBrainz service. Tags are written as VORBIS comments or standalone CUESHEET files, and the application has the ability to rename a file based on the tags using a user-specified template.
flactag can be run either interactively (to allow the user to select which of the results to tag the file with), or in batch mode (allowing files to be checked regularly for changes, and optionally to apply these changes automatically).
There are three methods to install flactag on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install flactag Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install flactag using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install flactagInstall flactag Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install flactag using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install flactagInstall flactag Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install flactag using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install flactagHow To Uninstall flactag on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the flactag package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove flactagUninstall flactag And Its Dependencies
To uninstall flactag and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove flactagRemove flactag Configurations and Data
To remove flactag configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge flactagRemove flactag configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove flactag configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge flactagDependencies
