How To Install ffe on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ffe on Kali Linux.
What is ffe
ffe is:
Ffe has many areas of use with fixed length and CSV files. It can extract particular fields or records from a flat file, convert data from one format to another (CSV to fixed length, …), display flat file content in human readable form, etc. In addition, one input file can contain several types of records (lines) and the input file structure and output definitions are independent, meaning one output format can be used with several input files. This input file structure and output format are ‘freely’ configurable, so the output can be formatted e.g. as: fixed length, separated, tokenized, XML, SQL, …
There are three methods to install ffe on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ffe Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ffe using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ffeInstall ffe Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ffe using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ffe using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ffeHow To Uninstall ffe on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ffe package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ffeUninstall ffe And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ffe and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ffeRemove ffe Configurations and Data
To remove ffe configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ffeRemove ffe configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
