Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install fetch-crl
on CentOS 7.
What is fetch-crl
This tool and associated cron entry ensure that Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) are periodically retrieved from the web sites of the respective Certification Authorities. It assumes that the installed CA files follow the hash.crl_url convention.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install fetch-crl
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fetch-crl.
Install fetch-crl on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install fetch-crl
using yum
by running the following command:

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
