How To Install fernet-go on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install fernet-go on Kali Linux.
What is fernet-go
fernet-go is:
This library takes a user-provided message (an arbitrary sequence of bytes), a key (256 bits), and the current time, and produces a token, which contains the message in a form that can’t be read or altered without the key.
This package is compatible with the other implementations at https://github.com/fernet. They can exchange tokens freely among each other.
This package contains files that is tool using golang-github-fernet-fernet-go-dev.
There are three methods to install fernet-go on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fernet-go Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fernet-go using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fernet-goInstall fernet-go Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fernet-go using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fernet-goInstall fernet-go Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fernet-go using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install fernet-goHow To Uninstall fernet-go on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the fernet-go package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fernet-goUninstall fernet-go And Its Dependencies
To uninstall fernet-go and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fernet-goRemove fernet-go Configurations and Data
To remove fernet-go configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fernet-goRemove fernet-go configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove fernet-go configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge fernet-goDependencies
