How To Install fernet-go on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install fernet-go on Debian 12.
What is fernet-go
fernet-go is:
This library takes a user-provided message (an arbitrary sequence of bytes), a key (256 bits), and the current time, and produces a token, which contains the message in a form that can’t be read or altered without the key.
This package is compatible with the other implementations at https://github.com/fernet. They can exchange tokens freely among each other.
This package contains files that is tool using golang-github-fernet-fernet-go-dev.
There are three methods to install fernet-go on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

Install fernet-go Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install fernet-go using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall fernet-go on Debian 12
To uninstall only the fernet-go package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fernet-go
Uninstall fernet-go And Its Dependencies
To uninstall fernet-go and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fernet-go
Remove fernet-go Configurations and Data
To remove fernet-go configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fernet-go
