How To Install feersum on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install feersum on Kali Linux.
What is feersum
feersum is:
Feersum is an HTTP server built on EV. It fully supports the PSGI 1.03 spec including the psgi.streaming interface and is compatible with Plack and PSGI 1.1. Feersum also has its own “native” interface which is similar in a lot of ways to PSGI, but is not compatible with PSGI or PSGI middleware.
Feersum uses a single-threaded, event-based programming architecture to scale and can handle many concurrent connections efficiently in both CPU and RAM. It skips doing a lot of sanity checking with the assumption that a “front-end” HTTP/HTTPS server is placed between it and the Internet.
There are three methods to install feersum on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install feersum Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install feersum using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install feersumInstall feersum Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install feersum using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install feersumInstall feersum Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install feersum using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install feersumHow To Uninstall feersum on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the feersum package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove feersumUninstall feersum And Its Dependencies
To uninstall feersum and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove feersumRemove feersum Configurations and Data
To remove feersum configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge feersumRemove feersum configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove feersum configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge feersumDependencies
