How To Install fdclock on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is fdclock
fdclock is:
fdclock is a clock to show off many of Cairo’s features: it features scalable widgets (including a scalable freedesktop.org logo as the background), and transparency. When used with an X server that supports the Composite extension, you will be able to see proper transparency for the clock, and note how the hands/dots/etc cast darker individual shadows than the rest.
This package comes from the freedesktop.org git module: git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/app/fdclock The module name is fdclock.
There are three methods to install fdclock
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fdclock Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fdclock
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install fdclock

After updating apt database, We can install fdclock

Install fdclock Using aptitude

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fdclock
Remove fdclock Configurations and Data
To remove fdclock
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fdclock
Remove fdclock configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
