How To Install fcode-utils on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install fcode-utils
on Debian 12.
What is fcode-utils
fcode-utils is:
FCode is a Forth programming language dialect compliant with ANS Forth. It can exist in two forms; source code and a compiled version, known as bytecode. It is of interest mainly for its use in OpenFirmware.
This package provides a set of FCode utilities:
- the tokenizer toke
- the detokenizer detok
- a PCI rom header utility
- a portable implementation of Forth local values
There are three methods to install fcode-utils
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install fcode-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

How To Uninstall fcode-utils on Debian 12
To uninstall only the fcode-utils
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fcode-utils
Uninstall fcode-utils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall fcode-utils
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fcode-utils
Remove fcode-utils Configurations and Data
To remove fcode-utils
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fcode-utils
