Fcitx5 is the next generation of fcitx input method framework. It provides pleasant and modern input experience with intuitive graphical configuration tools. The framework is highly extensible with support for GTK+ and Qt toolkits, DBus interfaces, a large variety of desktop environments and a developer-friendly API.
Some of its new features include support of both Wayland and Xorg and the ability to mimic IBus Input Method Framework in order to provide better compatibility across different Linux distributions and desktop environments.
This package provides the builtin pinyin input method. It provides the default pinyin input method for Chinese users.
There are three methods to install fcitx5-pinyin
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

Install fcitx5-pinyin Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fcitx5-pinyin

How To Uninstall fcitx5-pinyin on Ubuntu 22.04

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:

configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fcitx5-pinyin
Remove fcitx5-pinyin configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove fcitx5-pinyin
