How To Install fcitx-pinyin on Kali Linux

What is fcitx-pinyin

Fcitx is an input method framework with extension support, which provides an interface for entering characters of different scripts in applications using a variety of mapping systems.
It offers a pleasant and modern experience, with intuitive graphical configuration tools and customizable skins and mapping tables. It is highly modularized and extensible, with GTK+ 2/3 and Qt5 IM Modules, support for UIs based on Fbterm, pure Xlib, GTK+, or KDE, and a developer-friendly API.
This package provides the classic Pinyin input method, which features very short responding time by loading the whole dict into RAM during activation.
There are three methods to install fcitx-pinyin on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fcitx-pinyin Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fcitx-pinyin using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fcitx-pinyinInstall fcitx-pinyin Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fcitx-pinyin using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To remove fcitx-pinyin configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fcitx-pinyinRemove fcitx-pinyin configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove fcitx-pinyin configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
