How To Install fcitx-libs on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install fcitx-libs on Kali Linux.
What is fcitx-libs
fcitx-libs is:
Fcitx is an input method framework with extension support, which provides an interface for entering characters of different scripts in applications using a variety of mapping systems.
It offers a pleasant and modern experience, with intuitive graphical configuration tools and customizable skins and mapping tables. It is highly modularized and extensible, with GTK+ 2/3 and Qt5 IM Modules, support for UIs based on Fbterm, pure Xlib, GTK+, or KDE, and a developer-friendly API.
This package depends on all public libraries of fcitx.
There are three methods to install fcitx-libs on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fcitx-libs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fcitx-libs using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fcitx-libsInstall fcitx-libs Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fcitx-libs using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fcitx-libsInstall fcitx-libs Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fcitx-libs using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the fcitx-libs package we can use the following command:

To uninstall fcitx-libs and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fcitx-libsRemove fcitx-libs Configurations and Data
To remove fcitx-libs configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fcitx-libsRemove fcitx-libs configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
