How To Install fai-client on Debian 10

What is fai-client
fai-client is:
FAI is a non-interactive system to install, customize and manage Linux systems and software configurations on computers as well as virtual machines and chroot environments, from small networks to large infrastructures and clusters.
This is the client package for FAI. It contains the parts necessary to run the softupdate functionality on already installed systems, and is needed for the dirinstall functionality and others on a FAI server.
There are three methods to install fai-client on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fai-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fai-client using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fai-client
Install fai-client Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install fai-client using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fai-client
Install fai-client Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install fai-client using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install fai-client
How To Uninstall fai-client on Debian 10
To uninstall only the fai-client package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fai-client

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fai-client
Remove fai-client Configurations and Data
To remove fai-client configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fai-client
