How To Install enigma-data on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install enigma-data on Kali Linux.

What is enigma-data

enigma-data is:

Enigma is a puzzle game similar to Oxyd on the Atari ST or Rock’n’Roll on the Amiga and good old Marble Madness. It also has Sokoban levels, and some interesting twists on the original sokoban concept.

In Enigma, your objective is to locate and uncover matching pairs of Oxyd stones. Simple as it sounds, this task is made more difficult by the fact that Oxyd stones tend to be hidden, inaccessible or protected by unexpected traps. Overcoming these obstacles often requires a lot of dexterity and wit (and can be quite addictive).

This package contains the data files (levels, graphics, sounds).

There are three methods to install enigma-data on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install enigma-data Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install enigma-data using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install enigma-data

Install enigma-data Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install enigma-data using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install enigma-data using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install enigma-data

How To Uninstall enigma-data on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the enigma-data package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove enigma-data

Uninstall enigma-data And Its Dependencies

To uninstall enigma-data and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove enigma-data

Remove enigma-data Configurations and Data

To remove enigma-data configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge enigma-data
